Maureen
grew up in Connecticut and until she was 17, the only person who knew she could sing was
herself. She was a stand-in for an ill singer on "Silent
Night" and that was her big debut!
As
a senior in high school, she auditioned for three music conservatories and accepted to all
and chose the Boston conservatory. Having no previous formal voice
training and no ambition to become an opera singer, she left Boston within
three weeks and joined the University of Bridgeport where she graduated. |
